In late 2001, Supercuts was looking for an opportunity to become a part of the NASCAR craze. After looking at proposals from different NASCAR teams, Supercuts decided to partner with Fitz Motorsports.
"What it boiled down to was the multitude of opportunities that Fitz Motorsports could give us," said Patti Langworthy, Marketing Director of Supercuts. "With Armando Fitz as the team owner and the opportunities with the drivers at Fitz Motorsports, their proposal appealed to us a lot more than any other team's."
2008 will be the seventh year that Supercuts and Fitz Motorsports have worked as partners on the No. 22 Dodge Charger.
"Armando and the whole Fitz Motorsports Racing team have been so wonderful these last six years," Langworthy said. "They care about Supercuts and our employees. They have been very supportive with personal appearances and making our franchise owners and employees feel like part of the team."
Fitz Motorsports affords a special opportunity to Supercuts during race weekends. Each race, two random winners get to be honorary pit crew members for the No. 22 team. They suit up and perform a variety of tasks including holding the pit sign, handing water to the driver among others.
"Our relationship with Supercuts has been a perfect one," said Fitz Motorsports owner Armando Fitz. "To have a seven-year sponsor is a testament to our racing organization and the benefits it brings to Supercuts' marketing initiatives."
"It's important to get both Supercuts and Fitz Motorsports names out to as many people as possible," stated Langworthy. "Both organizations have done their part with appearances and commercials both locally and nationally, as well as on the web."
Everyone at Supercuts truly is more than just a sponsor, they're all part of the Fitz Motorsports family. You can't ask for much more than that.
