#36 Shark Energy Drink Dodge Leads First Laps of 2008 – Finishes 25th

Atlanta, GA – Kenny Wallace, driver of the #36 Shark Energy Drink Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Fitz Motorsports, finished 25th today in the Nicorette 300 from Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Kenny rolled-off 32nd this afternoon, with early morning snow canceling Coors Pole Qualifying. It was clear to the team after yesterday’s practice session that adjustments would be needed to keep the Shark Energy Drink Dodge in contention throughout today’s race, and that was exactly the circumstances, as Kenny battled an ill handling race car for a majority of today’s Nicorette 300.
“The Shark Energy Drink Dodge just wouldn’t get going on restarts and I’d fall through the field, but after a few laps it seemed to come back to me and the car was competitive,” said Kenny Wallace.
Still, the Shark Energy Drink team had a few more positive moments this afternoon, including Kenny leading his first laps of the 2008 NASCAR Nationwide season in the #36 Shark Energy Drink Dodge.
“It wasn’t the top-15 we wanted but I’m proud of the guys for continuing to work hard – I know we’re making progress in the right direction,” commented Kenny on today’s 25th place finish.
